Job Description

As Director of Building Automation, you will define and govern automation strategy for OCI’s global data center portfolio. This role sets standards and long-term direction for building management systems, OT controls architecture, cybersecurity, alarming, integration practices, and analytics that underpin safe, efficient, and scalable operations across the fleet.

You will lead managers, senior engineers, and strategic vendor partners responsible for automation platforms and standards across multiple regions. This role balances technical vision and execution discipline, ensuring OCI’s building automation ecosystem evolves in a consistent, secure, and operationally effective way as the business scales. You will partner across engineering, facilities, IT, security, construction, commissioning, and product teams to align standards, investment priorities, and system capabilities.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy, governance, and standards for BMS, DCIM, OT controls, and automation systems across OCI’s global portfolio.
  • Define long-term controls architecture, alarm philosophy, OT network standards, naming conventions, integration requirements, and supportability expectations across multi-vendor environments.
  • Oversee design, integration, commissioning, and operational handoff of major automation and controls initiatives across new sites, expansions, and retrofit programs.
  • Establish cybersecurity requirements and governance for OT systems in partnership with IT and security teams, including segmentation, access control, remote support methods, device lifecycle management, and compliance practices.
  • Drive adoption of smart building technologies, advanced analytics, visualization, digital-twin-related capabilities, and scalable automation practices that improve uptime, efficiency, and operational insight.
  • Ensure building automation systems produce actionable data, high-quality alarms, and consistent control behavior that support both local operations and fleet-level visibility.
  • Sponsor and govern root cause analysis, recurring issue elimination, and systemic improvement efforts related to controls, automation, integration, and OT reliability.
  • Lead vendor strategy for automation partners, system integrators, controls contractors, and platform providers, including performance expectations, standardization, and long-term technical roadmap alignment.
  • Build and develop technical leadership within the automation organization, including managers, senior engineers, and domain specialists.
  • Influence portfolio planning, capital prioritization, and operating standards by identifying automation-related risks, obsolescence concerns, and strategic modernization opportunities.
  • Align engineering, IT, cybersecurity, operations, and construction stakeholders around common automation standards, ownership models, and execution discipline.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 5-8 + years of experience in controls engineering, building automation, industrial automation, OT systems, or mission-critical facility automation leadership; data center experience strongly preferred, though adjacent experience in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, utilities, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, or similarly uptime-critical environments is highly relevant.
  • 5+ years of experience leading managers, engineering teams, or large-scale technical programs across multiple sites, regions, or business functions.
  • Deep knowledge of BMS, SCADA, DCS, PLC, HMI, OT infrastructure, and multi-vendor controls environments.
  • Strong experience setting technical standards, leading strategic automation programs, and governing execution across design, commissioning, operations, and vendor ecosystems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical field preferred; advanced degree is a plus but not required.

Skills and Competencies

Preferred Skills / Certifications

  • Deep expertise in BMS, SCADA, PLC, DCS, industrial networking, OT cybersecurity, alarming strategy, and large-scale automation integration.
  • Familiarity with platforms and ecosystems such as Schneider Electric, Siemens, Rockwell, Ignition, Niagara, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Cisco industrial networking, and related multi-vendor environments.
  • Experience shaping OT cybersecurity programs or standards using frameworks such as IEC 62443, NIST 800-82, or equivalent industrial cybersecurity practices.
  • Experience with fleet standardization, digital twin or advanced visualization initiatives, data integration, smart alarming, and automation analytics programs.
  • Understanding of critical facility systems and the role automation plays across mechanical cooling, electrical infrastructure, EPMS, DCIM, and integrated operational response.
  • Relevant certifications or training in BMS/controls platforms, industrial networking, OT cybersecurity, or automation leadership are a plus.
  • Credentials such as Schneider Electric EcoXpert, Niagara certification, Ignition credentials, Rockwell certification/training, Cisco industrial networking certifications, or OT cybersecurity certifications are valuable where aligned to platform mix and scope.

Job Description

Supports the design, deployment, and operations of a large-scale global Oracle cloud computing environment (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - OCI). Responsibilities

Lead network lifecycle management programs by defining high-level objectives and delivery procedures.  Organizes project technical milestones & supporting tasks.   May work as project technical lead, coordinating effort of two or three engineers.  Advises project/program manager and coordinates with immediate and skip-level leadership.   • Cloud Infrastructure Cost Management: Own and drive continuous improvement in the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of our global cloud infrastructure footprint
  • Infrastructure Cost Modeling & Analysis: Develop, maintain, and utilize advanced quantitative models to forecast, analyze, and optimize CapEx, OpEx, and P&L impact related to data center, network, and server infrastructure
  • Strategic Deal Cost Modeling: Provide critical financial and cost-structure insight to inform and model large-scale strategic deals and client agreements, ensuring profitable and competitive pricing based on accurate infrastructure costs.
  • Strategic Advisory: Act as the primary financial and technical advisor on infrastructure investment proposals, capacity planning, and operational efficiency initiatives.

Minimum Skills & Experience

  • A BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree a plus
  • 8+ years of finance experience within the tech, cloud, or infrastructure sector
  • Advanced Quantitative Modeling: Demonstrated expertise in complex financial and quantitative analysis, specifically applied to infrastructure CapEx, OpEx, and P&L within a large technology organization.
  • Technical Infrastructure Fluency: Strong technical understanding of cloud infrastructure, including data center operations (e.g., experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or expertise with networking OEMs/providers) and associated network infrastructure considerations.
  • Significant Cost Structure Management: Proven, hands-on experience advising on or managing significant, multi-million dollar cost structures related to technical infrastructure.
  • Strategic Problem Solving: Ability to work independently, manage quickly shifting business priorities, and consistently find solutions amid ambiguity in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
  • Ability to work independently and navigate ambiguous, high-stakes deal environments
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills

We are seeking a dynamic and creative world class Product Manager with expertise and passion in delivering best in class Database Cloud Services. ‘As a product leader, you should be customer focused, possess a product development mindset, and be able to envision the next generation capabilities and functionality for Database Cloud Services. You will be driving innovation in key areas related to roadmap definition, product requirements, feature prioritization, collateral creation, outbound communication, reference generation, and both pre-sales and post-sales support.

Job Description

We are looking for a strong Database Developer who will be responsible for the research, design, and development of  advanced features in the query optimizer component of Oracle Database. Additionally, you can be adding autonomous features and self learning and ML capabilities in keeping the query optimizer on the leading edge with respect to the competing database systems.

Our vision is to make Oracle query optimizer the most advanced yet easiest to use in the industry but most importantly continue to have fun achieving it

The team members have a strong research background and strive to bring the most advanced ideas to market in the latest versions of Oracle RDBMS. The group actively participates in collaborative manner of designing cross-group features like data partition pruning, zone map pruning, bloom filtering and pruning, database in-memory costing and optimization, JSON and XML document processing. Our team is heavily involved in the creation of automatic features (e.g. auto SQL plan management, auto indexing, auto error mitigation) for On-Prem databases and Autonomous Database announced by Larry Ellison at the Oracle Open World in Oct 2017. The group actively participates in customer and standard industry benchmark efforts. The group owns a large patent portfolio reflecting the ownership of many state-of-the-art innovations.

Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications
4+ years of backend software development experience

Minimum Qualifications

Responsibilities

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven professional to lead Oracle’s partnership program with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and Systems Integrators (SIs) across Oracle Database Cloud Services. This role focuses on defining and executing a global partner-led growth strategy to accelerate cloud adoption, expand market reach, and maximize the value delivered by ecosystem partners.  This is a high-impact individual contributor role with responsibility for driving strategy, building relationships, and executing initiatives that deliver measurable outcomes.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and define the global ISV and SI partner strategy for Oracle Database, aligned with business unit growth priorities.
  • Identify, recruit, and develop high-value strategic partnerships that support adoption of Oracle Autonomous AI Database, Oracle Exadata Cloud, and related services.
  • Manage relationships with Tier 1 and emerging partners, aligning on business objectives, investments, and joint go-to-market initiatives.
  • Negotiate partnership agreements, co-sell arrangements, and joint development initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Marketing, Alliances & Channels, and Legal teams to advance partner objectives.
  • Develop joint go-to-market programs, including solution bundling, technical enablement, co-marketing, and co-sell motions.
  • Monitor competitive cloud database ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) to identify partnership opportunities, trends, and best practices.
  • Represent Oracle at industry events, partner conferences, and briefings.

What You’ll Bring

  • 15+ years of experience in business development, strategic alliances, or partner management in enterprise software, cloud infrastructure, or data platforms.
  • 5+ years managing ISV and/or SI partner relationships at a senior level.
  • Proven ability to structure and close complex, high-value partnerships that drive revenue and pipeline growth.
  • Deep knowledge of the cloud database, analytics, and data infrastructure ecosystem, including ISV software categories (database, analytics, AI/ML, enterprise applications) and SI capabilities (cloud migration, managed services, transformation).
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, able to work with stakeholders across levels, functions, and regions.
  • Comfortable driving strategy while executing initiatives directly.
  • Preferred: familiarity with Oracle technologies (Autonomous Database, Oracle Exadata, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) and relationships with global SIs or database-adjacent ISVs.
