The Games Developer Tools team builds tools and platforms that help game developers build, debug, and ship great games for Netflix members. As a Games Developer Tools Engineer 5, you will be a full-stack engineer focused on game developer‑facing tools and workflows that game teams rely on every day. You’ll bring a strong product mindset, owning intuitive UIs, flows, and integrations backed by robust APIs and services. You thrive on developer experience and game development workflows, working closely with game developers to shape product direction and owning features end to end—from data model and API design through UI and instrumentation.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of full stack development experience building and operating production systems.
- Modern frontend experience, ideally with React and TypeScript.
- Backend experience with at least one of: JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js), Java, Python, plus familiarity with GraphQL or similar API technologies.
- End‑to‑end ownership of features: data models and persistence, API/service design, UI implementation, and instrumentation (metrics, logs, traces).
- Developer‑facing tooling experience (e.g., developer portals, dashboards, configuration consoles, debugging tools, or editors).
- UX iteration with technical users: gathering feedback from developers, shipping improvements, and measuring impact.
- API design and integration experience, including clean, versioned APIs used by web UIs, CLIs, game engines, or services.
- Operationally thoughtful running live tools/services: observability, production debugging, and attention to stability, usability, and backwards compatibility.
Nice to have
- Game engine & runtime awareness: familiarity with Unity and/or Unreal (editor extensions, in‑engine tools, plugins, build/content pipelines, runtime instrumentation) and how content flows from engine → build → runtime.
- Developer insights & performance tooling: building or integrating UIs for metrics/logs/traces and making complex technical data actionable for engineers.
- Desktop app experience: building and shipping Electron (or similar) apps, including auto‑update, packaging, offline behavior, and OS integration.
- Multi‑tenant / multi‑title systems: exposure to auth, authorization, and isolation across multiple games, titles, or tenants.
- External/partner‑facing tools: experience building tools used beyond a single internal team.
- Interest or experience in games: gaming industry, game dev tooling, or game production workflows.
Who you are
- Developer‑focused with a product mindset: You treat game developers as customers, care about responsiveness, clear flows, helpful errors, and strong docs/onboarding, and you actively seek feedback to improve the experience.
- An end‑to‑end owner: You can take a feature from vague idea to design, implementation, rollout, and long‑term support, doing whatever is needed (backend, UX polish, migrations, documentation) and balancing quick wins with longer‑term platform investments.
- Operationally thoughtful: You understand that widely used tools need high stability, good UX, and careful versioning/backwards compatibility, and you design for observability and diagnostics to make triaging and debugging issues easier.
- Independent and highly collaborative: You’re comfortable with ambiguity, communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical partners, and work closely with production, game developers, PM/TPM, design, and other engineers to identify and solve meaningful pain points.

We are seeking a senior cybersecurity professional to lead defender-focused (Blue Cell) capabilities within large-scale cyber exercises. This role is responsible for designing, operationalizing, and continuously improving how participants detect, investigate, and respond to adversary activity in realistic, mission-aligned scenarios.
The Blue Team Lead defines the defender experience: developing workflows, training objectives, evaluation criteria, and reference materials that reflect real-world security operations. This role ensures exercises produce measurable improvements in customer detection and response capabilities across both proactive threat hunting and reactive incident response.
Cyber exercises operate as live environments where timing, tooling, adversary actions, and participant behavior evolve dynamically. The Blue Team Lead ensures defender guidance is actionable, outcomes are measurable, and lessons learned translate into lasting operational improvements.
Responsibilities

- Ensure defensive actions remain grounded in realistic operational constraints and decision-making
Drive Business Outcomes
- Translate exercise results into actionable recommendations for improving customer security operations.
Own and lead defender outcomes aligned to strategic customer objectives, accelerating adoption and operationalization of Microsoft security tools through repeatable, measurable defender workflows. - Partner with account teams to translate exercise findings into follow-on opportunities (control fixes, detection coverage improvements, and roadmap-aligned next steps).
- Track and communicate exercise-driven outcomes (skill uplift, detection gaps closed, and prioritized remediation guidance) in a way that is actionable for customer leadership and Microsoft account teams.
Design Defender Workflows & Hunt Content
- Develop and govern defender-facing content: workflows, evaluation points, and success criteria aligned to security operations and customer mission needs.
- Build and maintain reusable hunting content packages (KQL quick sheets, investigation playbooks, validation checklists, and scenario-aligned hunt guides) that scale delivery consistency.
- Translate red team TTPs into defender detection expectations (telemetry sources, logging gaps, validation steps), enabling rapid iteration during delivery and clear improvements post-exercise.
- Lead after-action analysis focused on defensive performance, detection coverage, and response effectiveness.
- Drive post-exercise refinement of defender guidance, detection expectations, and learning materials based on observed outcomes and identified gaps.
Mentorship & Collaboration
- Mentor junior team members in defensive tradecraft, analytical reasoning, and exercise delivery.
- Lead regular team knowledge-sharing sessions that improve blue-team hunting quality and delivery consistency across parallel exercises.
- Develop and standardize playbooks, methodologies, and content to improve consistency across the team.
- Partner tightly with red team and control-cell to ensure timing, injects, and debriefs produce maximum defender learning value and actionable takeaways.
