Company Overview

Intuit is the global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve. With approximately 100 million customers worldwide using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.

Job Overview

Intuit is on a mission to power prosperity around the world. Intuit Academy plays a critical role in building and scaling the expert talent ecosystem that supports TurboTax, QuickBooks, and the broader Intuit platform — with a goal of 100K certified experts annually across the Academy.

We are hiring a Staff Learning Architecture & Operations Partner to own the measurement, quality, and operational systems that tell us whether our learning is working. This role ensures that content arriving on the learner platform meets quality standards, that learner progress is measurable and visible, and that the data infrastructure supporting certification decisions is built right.

You will own three things: the learner analytics and measurement framework that tells us what’s working across our programs; the content quality gate that controls what enters the learner platform; and the data model partnership that ensures learner intelligence is structured, governed, and useful across the Academy.

This is a build role. The frameworks, rubrics, and data partnerships don’t fully exist yet. You will define them, get alignment across the organization, and make them operational. If you need a playbook before you can move, this isn’t the right fit. If you’d rather write the playbook, it is.

This role is analytical and systems-oriented — not instructional. You will not design curriculum or learning pathways. You will ensure the infrastructure that delivers and measures them works.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

Own the Learner Analytics & Measurement Framework

  • Design and maintain the learner-side analytics framework — engagement, completion, and certification rates across Academy programs
  • Apply a structured learning effectiveness methodology (e.g., Kirkpatrick L1–L2) to assess learner reaction and knowledge gain across programs
  • Build dashboards and signal feeds that inform campaign decisions, learner experience quality reviews, and platform prioritization
  • Identify patterns and anomalies proactively — surface findings before they’re asked for
  • Define data governance standards: what gets measured, in what system, and how it flows to business stakeholders

Own the Content Quality Gate

  • Define the quality rubric for content entering the learner platform — structure, accessibility, assessment alignment, and metadata completeness
  • Operate the intake gate: review, approve, or send back content submissions from upstream content development teams before they reach learners
  • Write criteria clearly enough that upstream teams can self-qualify before submission — the gate should reduce rework, not just block it
  • Flag systemic quality issues back upstream; recommend process changes when the same defects appear repeatedly
  • Coordinate with learner experience and success partners to ensure the rubric reflects what learners actually need, not just technical compliance

This function requires holding a quality standard with peer teams across the organization without having direct authority over them.

Own the Learner Data Model Partnership

  • Define how learner data is structured, surfaced, and governed within the unified learning platform
  • Translate the team’s analytical and operational needs into platform and data model requirements for engineering partners — you speak both sides
  • Ensure learner data supports Academy use cases without requiring duplicate instrumentation
  • Sustain this as an ongoing partnership as the platform evolves
  • Ensure data flows are documented, defensible, and accessible to business stakeholders who depend on learner intelligence

Qualifications

What You Bring

Required

  • 6+ years in learning operations, learning analytics, instructional systems, or a closely adjacent function
  • Demonstrated experience building measurement frameworks from scratch — you’ve defined the metrics, not just pulled them
  • Experience operating a quality or intake function: content review, acceptance criteria, or standards governance in a learning or content environment
  • Ability to influence without authority across organizational boundaries — you’ve held a standard with a peer team and navigated the friction
  • Strong data fluency: comfortable with an LMS, CRM, or BI platform; can translate data findings into business decisions
  • Clear, direct communicator who can write a framework document and present findings to senior leadership without over-explaining

Preferred

  • Experience with Kirkpatrick evaluation or an equivalent learning effectiveness methodology
  • Familiarity with enterprise data or BI platforms in a learning or talent context
  • Background in a multi-product or platform environment where learner data serves more than one business unit
  • Experience in tax, accounting, financial services, or professional credentialing environments
  • Knowledge of assessment validity, psychometric practices, or credentialing standards

Mission: Build the future of payroll where the system does the work—a “done-for-you, accurate payroll every time” experience that SMBs and Mid-Market teams can trust without thinking about it. QuickBooks already operates at massive scale (Intuit serves ~100M customers worldwide , and QuickBooks has 7M+ online subscribers ). Now we’re taking the category we lead and turning it into the best payroll platform for Mid-Market and Enterprise, by automating the core workflows end-to-end with a mix of classic systems thinking and modern AI. If you’re hungry to ship, obsess over customer pain, and want to build agentic automation that customers feel in their bones—keep reading.

Responsibilities

You’ll own major pillars of payroll automation that remove work, reduce risk, and increase trust—across time, pay, tax, compliance, and approvals. Our products already include payroll solutions with automated tax payments and filings and integrate across QuickBooks Online/Desktop and Intuit Enterprise Suite —your job is to take this further into true “done-for-you.”

Examples of problems you’ll tackle:

  • Autopilot payroll runs: detect readiness, gather missing inputs, flag anomalies, and drive approvals.
  • AI-assisted accuracy: catch inconsistencies before they become pay mistakes (hours, rates, deductions, garnishments, taxes).
  • Compliance that’s invisible: proactive guardrails + “explainability” so admins know why something changed.
  • Workflow transformation (not just AI features): simplify the underlying systems, permissions, and data models so automation is reliable at scale.
  • Agent experiences: build systems that behave like a high-performing payroll admin—while customers remain in control.

This isn’t “add an AI button.” It’s a product transformation, measured in outcomes:

  • fewer payroll exceptions
  • fewer corrections / tax notices
  • faster payroll completion
  • higher attach/retention
  • provable trust + auditability

Intuit is investing hard here: FY25 Online Ecosystem revenue was $8.3B , with Online Services up 19% and growth driven by money + payroll . You will be building at the center of that growth engine.

Qualifications

What you’ll do (day to day)

  • Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for automating core payroll workflows (AI + non-AI).
  • Partner deeply with engineering, data science, design, research, compliance/legal, and GTM.
  • Define “done-for-you” experiences with crisp success metrics, experimentation plans, and learnings.
  • Drive system-level improvements (workflow redesign, data quality, controls) that make automation dependable.
  • Build with a responsible AI mindset: human-in-the-loop where needed, clear approvals, strong evaluation loops.

Who we’re looking for

You might be the one if you:

  • Have strong product judgment and love simplifying messy, high-stakes workflows.
  • Can operate in ambiguity, move fast, and still build durable systems (accuracy matters here).
  • Are comfortable partnering with technical teams on ML/LLM-powered automation, data pipelines, evaluation, and rollout strategy.
  • Have a history of shaping successful products during 5+ years experience in product management
  • Know how to turn customer pain into an execution plan—and then ship relentlessly.

Bonus points

  • Payroll, HR, benefits, time tracking, fintech, compliance, or other regulated workflow experience.
  • You’ve shipped automation/agentic products with measurable trust + quality improvements.
  • Background in computer science or other technical background allowing you to partner effectively with our engineering team
