Job Description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, specifically in parallel and distributed query processing. 

As a member of the database software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition, execution, and evolution of parallel & distributed query execution, a backbone of Oracle autonomous and on-premise database system. You will perform professional software development tasks working closely with other development teams, spearheading development of mid-to-large sized projects in traditional RDBMS as well as new areas like vector search, AI, data lake, and autonomous computing. In addition, you will be responsible for creating performance benchmarks both micro as well as scale-out performance and work with performance engineering team to find the performance bottle-necks and address them. Another focus area would be to use AI models to streamline/improve processes and to improve developer productivity. 

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
