As a Capital One Machine Learning Engineer (MLE), you'll be part of an Agile team dedicated to productionizing machine learning applications and systems at scale. You’ll participate in the detailed technical design, development, and implementation of machine learning applications using existing and emerging technology platforms. *What you’ll do in the role:*
The MLE role overlaps with many disciplines, such as Ops, Modeling, and Data Engineering. In this role, you'll be expected to perform many ML engineering activities, including one or more of the following:
- Design, build, and/or deliver ML models and components that solve real-world business problems, while working in collaboration with the Product and Data Science teams.
- Inform your ML infrastructure decisions using your understanding of ML modeling techniques and issues, including choice of model, data, and feature selection, model training, hyperparameter tuning, dimensionality, bias/variance, and validation).
- Solve complex problems by writing and testing application code, developing and validating ML models, and automating tests and deployment.
- Collaborate as part of a cross-functional Agile team to create and enhance software that enables state-of-the-art big data and ML applications.
- Retrain, maintain, and monitor models in production.
- Leverage or build cloud-based architectures, technologies, and/or platforms to deliver optimized ML models at scale.
- Construct optimized data pipelines to feed ML models.
- Leverage continuous integration and continuous deployment best practices, including test automation and monitoring, to ensure successful deployment of ML models and application code.
- Ensure all code is well-managed to reduce vulnerabilities, models are well-governed from a risk perspective, and the ML follows best practices in Responsible and Explainable AI.
- Use programming languages like Python, Scala, or Java.

- At least 3 years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing

Job Title: Software Quality Engineer III (multiple positions)
Job Duties: The senior level engineer applies extensive technical knowledge and experience to develop and deliver solutions for software projects. Program, debug, and test applications in a development environment. Perform database design and system testing. Ensure the delivery of high-quality products and software services. Assess vendor quality and testing based on requirements in Statements of Work. Collaborate with vendors to plan and execute integration and system level tests. Assess and escalate issues as needed to Software Quality Lead. Participate in defect triage, program risk analysis and development cycle-time optimizations. Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Engineering, or related field or the foreign degree equivalent and 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience performing software quality and testing throughout product development, deployment and maintenance, including 3 years of experience in each of the following:

As the Sr Opto Mechanical Engineer for a Line Replaceable Unit at Amazon Leo, you will be directly responsible for the production test development, introduction, improvement, & maintenance of a key module on our next generation spacecraft. You’ll be a key animating force in the increase in production capacity through vision & execution of capital investment for production scaling & automation.
Key job responsibilities
- Serve as primary technical interface to development team, participating as the lead technical voice from the factory in Design Reviews, key technical escalations, and new product development activities.
- Design and analyze of optical systems, including opto-mechanical mounting. Review designs from design engineer for performance, DFM, FMEA, etc.
- Align laser and/or optical systems. Measure laser properties and optical performance to ensure product specifications are met.
- Collaborate with the optical engineering and system engineering leads with the opto-mechanical system design.
- Drive full documentation of mechanical design including BOM, drawings and procedures.

The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Cloud Application Architect to join the team in a cloud or software engineering role, working with teams to leverage and expand your client’s capabilities.
You should thrive in a fast-paced environment, be able to translate customer needs, and assist others in migration and solutioning of mission critical capabilities. You’ll be responsible for working with current and new software development teams, architecting, building, and deploying hybrid cloud architectures in cleared environments. You Have:
- 6+ years of experience architecting and developing scalable, reliable cloud-native applications within AWS
- 5+ years of experience with networking for hybrid cloud environments within SIPR, TS, or JWICS
- 5+ years of experience building cloud-native microservice full-stack applications, and working with DoD STIGs or CIS Benchmarks
- 4+ years of experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
- Experience with DoD impact levels or classifications, AWS cloud, databases such as SQL and NoSQL, air-gapped cloud environments, and common design patterns such as event-driven architectures and microservices
- Experience with DoD cloud architecture or management, security, or networking
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT II Certification within 2 months of start date
- AWS Solution Architect Associate Certification
Nice If You Have:
- Experience troubleshooting cloud-native application deployments and configurations in secured environments
- Experience working with FENCES
- Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes (K8S) or other K8S distros
- Experience promoting solutions into higher classification environments
- Experience managing and configuring Ubuntu, RHEL, and Windows Server operating systems
- Experience troubleshooting networking issues within AWS cloud
- Experience in Identity Authentication and Authorization, including Single-Sign-On, SAML, or OpenID
- Possession of excellent communication skills
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
