Within CoreAI -- AI Platform, the Azure AI Search team powers rich knowledge base experiences for apps of all kinds. We integrate the best of Microsoft AI for content understanding, search relevance, and knowledge sources.

You will play a critical role in how Azure AI Search ships secure, scalable APIs and SDKs that power customerfacing AI experiences at global scale. On the API Foundations team, you sit at the intersection of building AI APIs and using AI tools to design, build, test, and ship AIpowered APIs, directly influencing reliability, security, developer experience, and engineering velocity. In this role, you will deepen your skills in distributed systems, API lifecycle management, cloud security, and AIassisted engineering practices while working handson with .NET services, authentication and authorization, telemetry, and release pipelines in an inclusive, growthoriented environment.

This role is targeting an immediate start date.

Responsibilities

• Develops code and operate secure, scalable and reliable cloud services, especially with AI tools.

• Drives and innovates API/SDK lifecycle. management and release processes.

• Collaborates with others to understand scenarios to plan and execute product features and processes.

• Acts as a designated responsible individual (DRI) in monitoring a system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years experience delivering API solutions.

• Experience successfully contributing to engineering teams to successfully deliver code into large engineering projects.

• 1+ years experience with increasing the development and delivery velocity of complex codebases.

• 1+ years experience with delivering security in the cloud.

Software Engineering IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $84,200 - $165,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $109,000 - $180,400 per year.
