We enable Crew, Managers, and Owner Operators to Run Great Restaurants. Our technology supports all 13,500+ US restaurants and helps restaurant teams serve millions of customers daily.

The US Solution Readiness Senior Manager (Backend Capabilities) leads consumer platform technology supporting one of the largest mobile ordering and delivery platforms worldwide. The Senior Manager, Solution Readiness manages long-term product roadmaps, supports the deployment of enhancements to US environments, triages defects, and partners with counterparts throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure solutions support US requirements. They ensure these efforts align with McDonald’s Global Technology strategic goals. Although the primary focus is on US customers, a global perspective is essential to develop enterprise solutions and benefit from McDonald’s unparalleled global scale.

Collaborating with global tech leads and product manager, vendors, and architects, the Senior Manager, Solution Readiness advises on crucial architectural, development and functional decisions to meet customer needs. The Senior Manager is also a people leader for solution readiness managers and business technical analysts and is the owner of implementation decisions for the Global Mobile Application, Global Web Solution and Global Web Application. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical skillset, be results and measurement driven, an outstanding communicator, and exhibit teamwork and influencing skills that foster a collaborative and continuous improvement environment. 

Key collaborators include US Owner Operators, internal business areas such as Digital Customer Experience, Operations, Marketing, Global Technology, Legal, and many others. Close partnership with Global Technology product counterparts is critical to success.

Duties

  • Roadmap Strategy & Alignment: Influence and align the product roadmap, incorporating both US market requests and global initiatives, to ensure strategic alignment with US, Global Technology, and vendor roadmaps.
  • Stakeholder & Business Partnership: Partner with Owner-Operators on the Technology Board, as well as stakeholders in Marketing and Operations, to drive strategic alignment and ensure business needs are met.
  • Global Technology Collaboration: Serve as the primary US technical liaison to Global Technology teams, actively partnering with Product Managers and Tech Leads throughout the software development lifecycle to influence backend solutions and ensure US market requirements are met.
  • Technical Requirements & Vendor Management: Define and manage technical requirements, dependencies, and vendor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to guarantee business needs are achieved and solutions are secure, scalable, and reliable.
  • Solution Reviews: Partner with Global Architecture team to review architecture designs and blueprints prior to development to ensure solutions meet US needs and requirements.
  • Comprehensive Testing Strategy: Own and drive a comprehensive testing strategy for all backend services—including functional, integration, performance, and scalability testing—to ensure the quality, resilience, and successful deployment of all solutions.
  • Technical Health & Operations: Establish and own the processes for monitoring the health, stability, and performance of critical US backend environments, and ensure robust 24x7 operational support processes are in place.
  • Deployment & Release Management: Oversee the deployment and release management of backend services into US pre-production and production environments.
  • Incident & Defect Resolution: Lead the triaging and root cause analysis for production and non-production defects, coordinating with engineering and support teams to ensure timely resolution.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in backend development, technical operations, or site reliability engineering.
  • Previous experience as an engineer or Tech Lead, or experience working with engineering teams.
  • Expertise in cloud-native environments and services, with significant hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP.
  • Demonstrated experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Splunk, New Relic, Dynatrace).
  • Experience in crafting and executing comprehensive testing strategies for backend systems, covering functional/component, integration, and performance testing.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive alignment and decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of the software development life cycle, agile methodologies, and proficient in project management principles.
  • Previous experience with mobile applications, ordering and payment technology, 3rd party delivery integration programs, and an understanding of their supporting business processes
  • Experience leading technical priorities and driving strategic architectural initiatives
  • Strong technical background in microservices architecture, APIs, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and database technologies.

Department Overview

The Sr Manager for SOX Compliance will oversee the management and governance of SOX-related IT applications, focusing on Access Management, Change Management, Segregation of Duties (SOD), and remediation of deficiencies identified by internal and external audits as it relates to GI Mod (Global Indirect Modernization) using SAP Ariba software. This role requires a strong understanding of SOX requirements, IT controls, and audit methodologies, as well as the ability to provide strategic recommendations and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance and mitigate risks. GI Mod is a global transformation that establishes a new Indirect Sourcing and Procurement operating model and implements “One McDonald’s Way” for indirect sourcing and procurement worldwide.

This role reports to the Global Tech Director of Technical Product Management and partners closely with cross‑functional leaders to ensure SOX compliance on the SAP Ariba software.

Duties

  • Own SAP Ariba IT SOX compliance strategy and SOX-related IT change management governance, establishing standards, controls, approvals, and metrics while driving disciplined exception management and remediation.
  • Lead all aspects of SAP Ariba application security in alignment with SOX compliance strategy.
  • Partner with Global Security to translate cybersecurity policies into actionable control requirements, drive consistent implementation across platforms, and resolve control gaps through executive stakeholder alignment.
  • Be responsible for the vulnerability management program for SOX on the SAP Ariba application, setting prioritization criteria, driving platform roadmaps, and reporting risk / remediation progress to senior leadership.
  • Establish and supervised risk-based user access review governance for SOX on SAP Ariba application, ensuring timely completion, quality of evidence, and closure of findings through accountable action plans.
  • Lead intake, triage, and risk assessment of IT control deficiencies identified by internal/external audit, maintaining a prioritized remediation portfolio and facilitating risk acceptance decisions when appropriate.
  • Serve as the senior liaison for SOX-related audits, setting audit engagement strategy, coordinating walkthroughs and evidence, and ensuring consistent messaging and outcomes across stakeholder groups.
  • Modernize and optimize the structuring of IT governance controls through standardization and automation, improving control effectiveness, auditability, and operational efficiency across the SOX compliance lifecycle.
  • Build SOX and controls capability across technology teams through targeted training, playbooks, and coaching; embed control ownership into delivery practices and leadership routines.
  • Deliver executive-ready reporting on audit results, trends, and remediation health; present findings and recommendations to the organization's top management and governance committees as required.

Qualcomm is seeking a Senior Product Test Development Automation Engineer to lead the validation and automation of next-generation ARM-based server hardware platforms. This role is pivotal in ensuring Qualcomm’s custom silicon and server solutions meet the highest standards of uptime and thermal reliability, high performance, and scalability for hyperscale deployments. You will drive system-level custom IP hardware testing and automation on Linux and utilize internal SDK tools, collaborating across hardware, firmware, and software covering critical components (not limited to custom CPU, memory, interconnects, power, Remote management interfaces, use case specific synthetic workloads) the candidate for this role combines software development skills (to build automated tests and tools) with hardware engineering expertise (to understand and stress-test server components). The candidate should have experience working on complex systems (often containing custom ARM-based chips) and are comfortable writing code, are capable of methodical problem-solving, have attention to detail, and clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Test Strategy & Execution: Architect, Design, Develop, and automate independently the feature requests and overall comprehensive test plans for new ARM-based server products, from prototype to test production scaling. Define the feature test scenarios; the implication and coverage across subsystem blocks, code the test scenarios, and execute the developed test cases for CPU, memory, PCIe, power/thermal, and system uptime under demanding workloads. Report to management on the results, provide trend analysis, root cause and iterative test improvement actions.

  • System Integration & Stress Testing: Direct integrated system tests that exercise hardware, firmware, and OS together. Lead efforts in stress workloads, power cycling, and long-duration soak tests to ensure reliability and uptime. The candidate is responsible for identifying tests and unrooting HW and SW issues early during product development, across early phases of Chip bring-up, Chip sampling to customers, and post commercialization, ensuring that new hardware and firmware combinations are robust and reliable for continuous operation at scale

  • Automation Framework Development: Design, implement, and maintain scalable automated test suites and frameworks (C/C++ cross platform across various environments: UEFI, Linux/Unix OSs, BMC automation, Virtualized OS test automation, including Unix shell scripting) to validate hardware and firmware efficiently across multiple platforms on the server platform and ensure the framework is scalable across SoC products. The Candidate will develop in and have C++ familiarity to cross compile test frameworks across differencing Operating environments

  • Advanced Debugging & Root Cause Analysis: Perform deep diagnostics and failure analysis across: Hardware and Subsystems / Software and Kernel / Firmware boundaries, support troubleshooting, and devise techniques to quantify and isolate faults - Collaborate with SW and HW design engineers to drive experimentation, debugging, and validate fixes, or workarounds.

  • System-Level Soak Testing: Perform extended thermal cycling, high-load endurance tests. Conduct integrated system tests that exercise hardware, firmware, and OS together. This can include booting Linux on new ARM-based servers and running stress workloads (CPU burn-in, memory tests, I/O benchmarks, etc.) to verify end-to-end functionality. Power cycling and long-duration soak tests are used to gauge reliability and uptime. Additionally cover networking and remote management stressors for reliability and robustness

  • Global Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Act as a bridge between hardware design, software/firmware, and operations teams. Work with hardware designers, and Project managers to understand new board/SoC features and define test requirements, and with firmware/software developers to ensure coverage of all functionalities. The candidate will also coordinate with manufacturing, data center operations, and product design teams to identify and mitigate product risks

  • Quality Metrics & Reporting: Analyze test results data, track key quality metrics (error rates, performance benchmarks, thermal readings, uptime, MTBF, reliability statistics), and generate reports. The candidate will provide data-driven feedback to stakeholders across Core platform HW/SW, HW Designers, and SW Tools. The Candidate will maintain clear test documentation and report on pass/fail trends, including the creation of automated dashboards.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, speed, and efficiency. Such as independently developing new test tools, refining automation for faster execution, or implementing better monitoring of results. Adapt test scenarios and conditions that scale dynamically for Hyperscalers

Qualcomm is seeking a senior embedded software engineer with 3+ years of experience for the Core Platform Kernel Services Software team.

The Core Platform Kernel Services software team develops and deploys drivers and Kernel Services responsible for achieving IPC and System level Debug to multiple subsystems on Qualcomm SOCs. These SOCs serve customers across the Mobile Handset, Compute, Automotive, XR/AR, Cloud AI, IoT and IIOT market segments. The Kernel Services team develops protocols and algorithms that are central to critical operations performed by all functions of the SOC such as Sensing, Image Capture, Audio functions among hundreds of others. The team owns, maintains and develops drivers across multiple operating systems including, QuRT OS, Windows, Linux, QNX, FreeRTOS, Zephyr among others. The team actively develops open-source solutions to achieve highly performance efficient and feature rich yet configurable IPC across subsystems. The team actively engages with the open-Source community to upstream and augment associated solutions as well.

The multiple number of drivers and Services constantly evolve and find utility in various applications across multiple tiers of application across chipsets. The team works actively with OEMs, ODMs, Carriers, OS providers, etc. to perform requirements analysis towards catering to new and complex use cases on a regular basis.
