About Ramp

Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $100B in annualized spend flows in and out of 50,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.

The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.

We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.

The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.

If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.

About the Role

Ramp is building out its partner ecosystem, and the Technical Partnerships team sits at the intersection of product, engineering, sales, and our growing network of third-party platforms. As a Technical Channel Partnerships Manager, you'll turn Ramp's developer platform and APIs into scalable, revenue-generating integrations; architecting end-to-end solutions with ISVs, embedded finance partners, and strategic tech platforms. You won't just make integrations work; you'll make them a repeatable engine of partner-driven growth.

You will be expected to pitch and close co-build and co-sell agreements, own integration success metrics, and serve as the primary bridge between external partner engineering teams and Ramp's internal teams, delivering integrations that drive meaningful adoption and revenue.

What You'll Do

  • Architect end-to-end partner integrations using Ramp's developer platform — including APIs, webhooks, authentication flows, embedded finance primitives, and workflow automation
  • Pitch, negotiate, and close co-build and co-sell agreements with third-party platforms, ISVs, and strategic partners
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, sales, solutions, legal, and GTM teams to design robust, scalable partnership strategies
  • Define integration success metrics (adoption, usage, retention, partner-driven revenue) and be accountable for delivering against them
  • Manage partner relationships and act as the bridge between external partner engineering teams and internal Ramp teams — clarifying data flows, responsibilities, timelines, and deliverables
  • Proactively identify integration blockers and architect around constraints such as rate limits, data model mismatches, scaling, security, and compliance requirements
  • Influence partner roadmaps, product prioritization, and GTM motions based on integration opportunities and ecosystem gaps

What You Need

  • 5+ years of experience and a strong track record in partner sales, BD, alliances, or channel partnerships (with meaningful ISV/tech partner exposure)
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and event-driven architecture, data models and schema design, authentication flows (OAuth, API keys), embedded finance primitives, and general principles of financial and ERP systems
  • Ability to architect integration flows without writing production code — comfortable drawing sequence diagrams, mapping data flows, and specifying responsibilities on both the partner and Ramp sides
  • Proven commercial instincts: able to position integrations as strategic value, negotiate agreements, and structure co-sell motions
  • Track record of delivering quantifiable results — integration adoption, partner-driven pipeline, revenue impact, or similar outcomes from full-stack partnership, integrations, or ecosystem-building roles
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak confidently with engineers, product teams, sales leaders, and C-suite stakeholders, and translate technical constraints into business implications
  • Bias toward execution and speed: you move fast, deliver clean work, and push initiatives across teams to completion
  • Comfort working in ambiguity — you thrive when documentation is incomplete, requirements evolve, and decisions must be made without perfect information

Nice to Haves

  • Previous experience at a fintech or embedded-finance company
  • History of working with ERP, accounting, procurement, or spend-management platforms, or building integrations for them
  • Prior success in co-sell or partner-driven GTM motions
  • Familiarity with compliance or financial workflows (expense management, reimbursements, vendor payments, bookkeeping, etc.)

Benefits (for U.S.-based full-time employees)

  • 100% medical, dental & vision insurance coverage for you

  • Partially covered for your dependents

  • One Medical annual membership
  • 401k (including employer match on contributions made while employed by Ramp)
  • Flexible PTO
  • Fertility HRA (up to $10,000 per year)
  • Parental Leave
  • Unlimited AI token usage
  • Pet insurance
  • Centralized home-office equipment ordering for all employees
  • Health and Wellness stipend
  • In-office perks: lunch, snacks, drinks, and more
  • Budget for intra-office travel
  • Relocation support to NYC or SF (as needed)

Head of Customer Success, Enterprise & Strategic

Remote (New York City, New York, USA) Posted 3 days ago

$261000 - $358000

Open Role Brief Quick scan for responsibilities, requirements, and tone before you dive deeper.

Ramp is the fastest-growing corporate card and spend management platform in America. Our Customer Success team is the driving force behind how the world’s most ambitious companies unlock the full power of Ramp’s platform to transform their financial operations.

We’re looking for a Head of Enterprise & Strategic Success to lead our Customer Success motion across Ramp’s largest and most complex accounts—enterprise organizations and strategic partnerships with large multinational corporations. This is a senior leadership role responsible for building and executing the activation strategy that drives spend adoption, deepens product penetration, and accelerates time-to-value for accounts where organizational complexity, global footprint, and change management are defining challenges.

You will own the customer journey for our highest-value segment, leading a team of CSMs who manage enterprise and strategic accounts through onboarding and activation across multiple products on the Ramp platform. You will be a thought partner to Sales, Product, and Partnerships leadership, ensuring that our post-sale experience matches the sophistication of our go-to-market motion.

This role requires a leader who is deeply fluent in AI-augmented workflows: someone who doesn’t just adopt AI tooling, but has a clear point of view on where AI should replace, augment, or stay out of the customer experience. You will set the standard for how the CS org leverages AI for customer communication, data synthesis, account prioritization, and predictive engagement—driving efficiency gains while maintaining the high-touch, consultative relationships our enterprise customers expect.

What You'll Do

Lead Enterprise & Strategic Customer Success

  • Own the end-to-end customer success strategy for Ramp’s Enterprise and Strategic segments, setting the vision for how we activate, retain, and expand our largest accounts.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of Enterprise CSMs, establishing a culture of accountability, intellectual curiosity, and customer obsession.
  • Define and drive the key metrics for the segment: spend activation rate, product adoption rate, time-to-value, net revenue retention, and customer health scores. Other metrics could include CSM-sourced leads and multiple-product attach rates.
  • Serve as the executive sponsor and escalation point for Ramp’s most complex and highest-value customer relationships.

Drive Change & Transformation Management

  • Design and lead change management frameworks tailored to large multinational corporations undergoing financial operations transformation, including agentic workflows, with Ramp.
  • Partner with enterprise customers’ executive stakeholders (CFOs, VPs of Finance, Procurement leaders) to build adoption roadmaps that account for organizational complexity, regional variance, and multi-entity structures.
  • Develop playbooks for navigating the unique challenges of enterprise activation: multi-stakeholder alignment, global rollout sequencing, compliance requirements, and legacy system migration.
  • Bring a transformation management lens to every engagement—ensuring that Ramp is not just a tool adoption, but a catalyst for how enterprises rethink their financial operations.

Operationalize & Scale with AI

  • Build AI-augmented workflows across the enterprise CS motion—from AI-driven health scoring and predictive analytics to automated customer communication and just-in-time product enablement.
  • Develop a clear framework for where AI should handle, assist, or defer to human CSMs across the customer lifecycle, ensuring the right balance of efficiency and high-touch service.
  • Champion AI fluency across the team: set the expectation that every CSM actively uses AI tools in their day-to-day work and maintains a point of view on how AI is reshaping customer success.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to build feedback loops that translate enterprise customer insights into platform improvements, powered by data synthesis and AI-driven pattern recognition.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate closely with Enterprise Sales, Solutions Engineering, and Partnerships to ensure seamless handoffs and a unified customer experience from pre-sale through long-term expansion.
  • Influence Product roadmap by synthesizing enterprise customer needs, competitive intelligence, and market trends into actionable insights for the Product team.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships across the customer portfolio, positioning Ramp as a strategic partner—not just a vendor—to the world’s largest organizations.

What You Need

  • 10+ years of experience in Customer Success, Account Management, or Post-Sales leadership, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing enterprise or strategic accounts.
  • Proven experience leading change management and digital transformation initiatives within large multinational corporations—you’ve navigated the complexity of global rollouts, multi-entity structures, and executive stakeholder alignment.
  • Track record of building and scaling high-performing CS teams (20+ CSMs) with clear operating cadences, performance frameworks, and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Deep expertise in enterprise activation metrics: spend activation, product adoption, time-to-value, net revenue retention, and customer health scoring.
  • Strong AI fluency—you actively use AI tools in your work, have a clear point of view on AI’s role in customer success, and can drive adoption of AI-augmented workflows across a team.
  • Exceptional executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to engage C-suite stakeholders at Fortune 500 companies and translate complex organizational dynamics into actionable CS strategies.
  • Experience in fintech, SaaS, or financial operations is strongly preferred; familiarity with corporate card, expense management, or procurement platforms is a plus.
  • Comfort operating in a high-growth, fast-moving environment where you’ll be building the playbook as you go—not inheriting a fully mature operation.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with management consulting or professional services delivery for enterprise accounts.
  • Background in organizational change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci, Kotter, ADKAR) applied in a technology adoption context.
  • Experience building or leading customer success for a category-creating product—where you had to define what “success” looks like for customers, not just optimize an existing motion.
  • Familiarity with Gong, Salesforce, or similar platforms for call coaching, pipeline management, and customer intelligence.

What Success Looks Like

First 90 Days

  • Complete a diagnostic of the current Enterprise & Strategic CS motion: team structure, account coverage model, health scoring, and activation metrics.
  • Build relationships with key enterprise customers and conduct listening tours with cross-functional stakeholders (Sales, Product, Partnerships).
  • Identify the top 3–5 operational gaps and present a 6-month roadmap to the executive team with clear milestones and resource requirements.
  • Establish initial AI-augmented workflows for at least one core CS process (e.g., health scoring, account prioritization, or QBR preparation).

By 6 Months

  • Enterprise & Strategic activation rates are measurably improving, with a clear correlation to the new playbooks and operating cadences you’ve implemented.
  • The team has a defined change management framework for multinational rollouts, with at least 2–3 enterprise accounts actively using it.
  • AI fluency is embedded across the team: every CSM is using AI tools daily, and you’ve shipped at least two AI-augmented workflow improvements.
  • Cross-functional feedback loops with Product and Sales are formalized and producing actionable insights that influence the roadmap and GTM strategy.
  • You’ve built a talent strategy for the team—hiring plan, competency framework, and career development pathways are in place.

Benefits (for U.S.-based full-time employees)

  • 100% medical, dental & vision insurance coverage for you

  • Partially covered for your dependents

  • One Medical annual membership
  • 401k (including employer match on contributions made while employed by Ramp)
  • Flexible PTO
  • Fertility HRA (up to $10,000 per year)
  • Parental Leave
  • Unlimited AI token usage
  • Pet insurance
  • Centralized home-office equipment ordering for all employees
  • Health and Wellness stipend
  • In-office perks: lunch, snacks, drinks, and more
  • Budget for intra-office travel
  • Relocation support to NYC or SF (as needed)

As an AI Product Operator, you will help accelerate Ramp’s goal of becoming the most productive company in the world through AI. You will boost not just AI usage across our business, but an AI-first mindset—so that every team develops a muscle for leveraging new AI capabilities instinctually, and is enabled to act on those instincts. Part vibe coder, part data expert, part product manager, and part business ops maven, you’ll work across disciplines and co-develop the cutting edge of AI building technology for non-engineers, and use it to drive massive change at high velocity.

What You'll Do

  • Deploy dozens of AI-driven automations or copilots across a focused set of non-engineering Ramp teams within 6–12 months.
  • Enable hundreds of Ramp team members with >90% active usage of deployed workflows in their daily work.
  • Map processes, build workflows using tools like Gumloop, n8n, Notion, Cursor, or ChatGPT plugins, and orchestrate integrations.
  • Measure impact via dashboards, QA checks, and iteratively optimize based on user feedback.
  • Seed an AI-native culture, coaching internal “AI champions” and embedding templates and practices into team norms.

What You Need

  • 2–5 years in product management, product ops, BizOps, strategy, technical program management, revenue operations, or similar.
  • Deep and demonstrated experience using AI to build, ship, and transform work in prior teams or projects.
  • Technical fluency with low-code/no-code and development copilot tools (Notion, n8n, Gumloop, Cursor, Claude Code), SQL and BI tools, APIs, scripting, or integrations.
  • Operational empathy: able to partner with business teams to deeply understand challenges and deliver rapid solutions.
  • Strong communicator: you can write crisp docs (with AI!) and run persuasive, engaging internal training sessions that have lasting impact.
  • Self-starter with high ownership, comfortable with autonomy and ambiguity.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Familiarity with departmental workflows in operating teams - Sales, CX, Finance, Risk, HR, etc.
  • Prior experience in internal enablement or change management programs.

Not for you if:

  • You prefer strategy briefings over hands-on delivery.
  • You lean toward AI research or building models rather than applied AI work.
  • You’d rather manage people than dive deep into building solutions and discovering new ways to drive edge through technology.

Don’t meet every bullet? Please apply. Many excellent candidates don’t—but could excel once given the opportunity.

Benefits (for U.S.-based full-time employees)

  • 100% medical, dental & vision insurance coverage for you

  • Partially covered for your dependents

  • One Medical annual membership
  • 401k (including employer match on contributions made while employed by Ramp)
  • Flexible PTO
  • Fertility HRA (up to $10,000 per year)

OverviewApplication

We’re looking for a Senior Web Designer to own and elevate Ramp’s web experience end to end. This is a highly craft-driven role at the intersection of brand, product, and growth — where design quality, speed, and systems thinking all matter.

You’ll be responsible for shaping how Ramp shows up on the web: from marketing pages and landing experiences to product marketing surfaces and interactive storytelling. Beyond shipping individual pages, you’ll build and scale a cohesive web design system — defining layout patterns, components, motion, and visual standards that others across the company can use to create high-quality experiences.

This role is deeply collaborative and hands-on. You’ll partner closely with engineering and growth to take projects from concept through production, and you’ll use modern tools — including LLMs like Claude — to rapidly explore ideas, generate variations, and prototype before moving into execution.

You’ll also play a key role in raising the bar across the organization: setting standards for typography, layout, and motion; sharing systems and workflows; and continuously evolving the web experience to meet the needs of multiple teams. The goal is not just to design great pages, but to build a system that enables anyone at Ramp to create beautiful, effective web experiences at scale.

What You'll Do

  • Own web design end to end: marketing pages, landing pages, product marketing surfaces, and interactive experiences
  • Build and maintain a scalable web design system — layout patterns, component libraries, motion language, and brand guidelines that other designers and engineers ship from
  • Lead web redesigns and overhauls from concept through production, partnering directly with engineering and growth
  • Start in an LLM: use Claude or similar tools to explore layouts, generate copy variations, and prototype interactions before moving to Figma
  • Set the visual bar — typography, spacing, color, motion — and hold it across every surface that ships
  • Collaborate with brand, product, and growth teams to ensure the web experience is coherent with the product experience
  • Share systems, patterns, and prompts that raise craft quality across the org
  • Continuously evolve the system, meeting the needs of various teams. Build a system so that anyone at Ramp can create a beautiful, engaging web experience.

What You Need

  • Active use of LLMs (Claude, Cursor, etc.) and Figma or Paper.
  • 7+ years of web design experience with at least one full site overhaul or design system build you owned as an IC
  • A portfolio that shows range: web systems, brand, landing pages, interactive storytelling
  • Deep typographic and layout sensibility — you have opinions about grids, whitespace, and hierarchy
  • Experience working directly with front-end engineers, not just handing off specs
  • Ability to move fast without sacrificing craft — you know when to polish and when to ship
  • Deep understanding of brand systems and brand identities

Nice to Have

  • Front-end fluency — you can build what you design when needed
  • Motion design chops (Framer Motion, CSS animations, After Effects for direction)
  • Experience with conversion optimization and growth experiments on marketing surfaces
  • Background at a company known for web craft

Benefits (for U.S.-based full-time employees)

  • 100% medical, dental & vision insurance coverage for you

  • Partially covered for your dependents

  • One Medical annual membership
  • 401k (including employer match on contributions made while employed by Ramp)
  • Flexible PTO
  • Fertility HRA (up to $10,000 per year)
  • Parental Leave
  • Unlimited AI token usage
  • Pet insurance
  • Centralized home-office equipment ordering for all employees
  • Health and Wellness stipend
  • In-office perks: lunch, snacks, drinks, and more

Financial Systems Lead

Remote (New York City, New York, USA) Posted 3 days ago

Open Role Brief Quick scan for responsibilities, requirements, and tone before you dive deeper.

OverviewApplication

Ramp is building the financial OS that companies run on. This team is the proof of concept: we use our own product to run Ramp's books, and the systems that make that work are built and owned here

You've closed the books. You've also closed pull requests. This role needs both.

The core is accounting: sub-ledgers, reconciliation engines, automated close processes. The kind of work where a wrong journal entry means the books don't balance and the auditors call. Treasury, capital markets, and FP&A are in scope too, prioritized by where the pain is.

This isn't a traditional PM role. You won't write PRDs and hand them off — you'll hand engineers working prototypes. You'll sit with our Controller and understand why a reconciliation breaks, then go build the fix. For smaller changes and enhancements, you'll commit directly to production.

We need someone who can ship high-quality financial software fast because they actually understand what the software needs to do and what the pain points of the stakeholders are.

What you'll do

  • Build internal financial systems. Sub-ledgers, reconciliation tools, close automation, and occasionally treasury or FP&A tooling. You'll write AI agent generated code, do data analysis, and ship working prototypes that become the spec. For smaller changes, you'll commit directly to production.
  • Design and build AI-powered tools that make financial professionals faster. Working systems that solve real problems, not strategy decks about AI.
  • Work directly with Ramp's finance team — our Controller, accountants, treasury analysts. Translate their pain into software. Speak their language: GL, DR/CR, trial balance, intercompany eliminations.
  • Lead engineers through prototypes, not documents. You'll work closely with a world-class engineering team, but your primary artifact is working code, not a requirements doc. You set direction by showing, not telling.
  • Own outcomes, not roadmaps. You'll have fungible scope across the Financial Systems portfolio. The best problem to solve next is the one you'll go find.

What you'll need

  • At least 5 years in a product-building role.
  • Deep financial domain expertise. You've worked in or built for accounting, FP&A, treasury, audit, or financial operations. You know what a month-end close feels like. You can read a trial balance and spot what's off. You care about getting this right because you've felt the pain firsthand.
  • Fluent with AI-native dev tools — you ship with Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or whatever's best this week. You have strong opinions on the toolchain. You've shipped features or tools using LLMs, not just talked about them. Not interested in AI — immersed in it.
  • Strong product judgment and first-principles thinking, especially at the intersection of structured financial data, complex systems, and user workflows.
  • Ability to translate between technical and finance audiences — synthesizing accounting requirements into software architecture and vice versa.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Intacct, Workday) or accounting infrastructure (sub-ledgers, GL integrations)
  • Background in Big 4 accounting, management consulting, or financial operations before pivoting into product/tech
  • Experience in high-growth startups, especially driving 0-to-1 products

Benefits (for U.S.-based full-time employees)

  • 100% medical, dental & vision insurance coverage for you

  • Partially covered for your dependents

  • One Medical annual membership
  • 401k (including employer match on contributions made while employed by Ramp)

About Ramp

Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $100B in annualized spend flows in and out of 50,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.

As a Product Designer at Ramp, you are accountable for outcomes, not just artifacts. You work with PMs, engineers, and other designers to define the right problems, explore and validate solutions, and ship product experiences that change customer behavior.

Design at Ramp is AI first and builder led. Work starts in an LLM, moves into tools like Claude and Cursor to explore flows and interactions, and then comes into Figma for systems and polish. Designers prototype early, test with real customers, and stay involved through launch and iteration.

We are looking for multiple product designers who are excited to work this way and who want to use AI as a core part of how they design.

What You’ll Do

  • Own product work end to end: Partner with PM and engineering to define problems, explore solution spaces, validate concepts, and ship product improvements that move key metrics. Stay involved through launch and iteration, not just handoff.
  • Start in an LLM: Use tools like Claude to clarify intent, draft short PRDs, and surface risks, edge cases, and initial approaches. Use this work to align quickly with your team.
  • Validate assumptions with self-serve research: Talk directly with customers, run quick tests, and use what you learn to adjust direction. Treat research as a velocity tool, not a gate.
  • Prototype using AI tools: Use Cursor and Claude Code to build and iterate on flows and simple interfaces. Let AI generate code while you guide structure, behavior, and UX quality. Partner with engineers to decide what moves into the product.
  • Bring work into Figma: Translate validated concepts into Figma for full state coverage, system alignment, and production readiness.
  • Design for the 80 / 20: Encode judgment and complexity under the hood while keeping the default experience simple and successful for most customers.
  • Contribute to patterns and culture: Share prompts, patterns, and learnings with the design org. Participate in crits and reviews that raise the bar for quality.

What You Need

  • Experience as a product designer working on complex products, ideally in B2B, fintech, or other systems-heavy environments
  • Ownership of projects from problem definition through launch and iteration
  • Active use of LLMs such as Claude or ChatGPT in your design workflow
  • Comfort working in tools like Cursor or Claude Code, even if you are not writing production code by hand
  • A portfolio that shows strong product thinking, interaction design, and craft
  • Ability to work with PMs to define success metrics and adjust based on results
  • Clear communication and comfort collaborating directly with engineers and PMs

Nice to Haves

  • Experience planning and running customer interviews or usability tests
  • Familiarity with design systems and extending shared components
  • Comfort with basic front-end concepts such as components and states
  • Experience in fast-moving product teams where iteration and shipping matter

Benefits (for U.S.-based full-time employees)

  • 100% medical, dental & vision insurance coverage for you

  • Partially covered for your dependents

  • One Medical annual membership
  • 401k (including employer match on contributions made while employed by Ramp)

About Ramp

Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $100B in annualized spend flows in and out of 50,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.

If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.

About the Role

Ramp is hiring an Associate Manager to lead the frontline of our CX team — the agents who serve as the voice of Ramp for thousands of customers every day. This is a phone-first leadership role, with primary responsibility for our live phone support, while also ensuring consistent standards across secondary channels like chat and email. As a leader, you’ll set the tone for performance and culture: developing people, reinforcing standards, and ensuring our high bar for speed, accuracy, and empathy is consistently met.

We’re a fast-moving, high-growth team where change is constant. Associate Managers at Ramp thrive in this environment by balancing support with accountability — coaching agents to grow, holding the line on results, and creating stability even as processes, tools, and products evolve. We function in a highly collaborative environment: leaders and agents alike share ideas, iterate quickly, and give and receive feedback across levels and teams. Success in this role requires intentional execution and adaptability to thrive in a culture where the best idea wins, where projects are built together, and where iteration is expected as part of the process.

This is a role for leaders who combine operational discipline with creativity. You’ll use data analysis, projects, and AI-driven workflows to help your team work smarter, while staying close enough to the ground to spot opportunities for improvement. Leadership here means more than managing schedules — it’s about shaping how your team performs, adapts, and thrives.

If you love developing people, driving accountability, and bringing clarity and focus to dynamic environments, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and coach your team. Run 1:1s, deliver feedback that drives real improvement, and hold agents accountable while helping them grow. Know your people well enough to make coaching specific and actionable.
  • Drive performance and consistency. Keep the team focused on the metrics that matter — CSAT, QA, SLA, productivity — by reinforcing playbooks and addressing gaps quickly before they compound.
  • Own quality assurance. Grade cases, run QA sessions, and identify the knowledge or behavior gaps that are actually moving the needle on performance.
  • Work with AI tools daily. Ramp is actively building AI into CX operations. You'll adopt and champion new AI-powered workflows, give feedback on what's working, help your team get up to speed, and be instrumental in shaping how these tools evolve. Comfort with new technology isn't optional — we are all builders at Ramp.
  • Use data to drive decisions. Review performance trends and customer feedback to translate insights into coaching actions and process changes — not just reports.
  • Lead your team through change. Ensure adoption of new tools, workflows, and processes with clarity and steady leadership. Your team looks to you to make change feel manageable.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally. Partner with CX Ops, Product, and Engineering to surface issues, pilot improvements, and strengthen both the agent and customer experience.

Stay connected to the work. Handle escalations and occasionally take calls and tickets to stay close to frontline realities.

What You Need

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a customer-facing technical support role
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays

Ramp's Agent Developer Platform team builds the programmatic surfaces -- APIs, MCP, CLI, and agentic interfaces -- that let developers and AI agents read from and write to Ramp. We are an AI-focused platform team making it trivially easy for any engineer at Ramp (or outside it) to ship new capabilities across all surfaces. Our ideal candidate thinks agent-first, has strong opinions on developer experience, and wants to define how software interacts with financial infrastructure at scale.

Check out our Engineering Blog for more on our tech stack, mission, and values!

What You'll Do

  • Build and operate Ramp's multi-surface platform (API, MCP, CLI) with a high bar for reliability, correctness, and developer experience across tens of thousands of businesses.
  • Build software factories -- autonomous tooling and agents that accelerate endpoint creation, enabling teams across Ramp to ship their own API/MCP/CLI surfaces.
  • Ship agent-first platform capabilities: agent cards, programmatic onboarding, permissions and guardrails, and evaluation and monitoring for agentic workflows.
  • Own platform observability end-to-end -- bring MCP and CLI to the same level of monitoring, alerting, and benchmarking as the core API.
  • Lead design and execution of complex backend projects end-to-end (architecture, implementation, rollout, monitoring) in Python, Temporal, and Postgres.
  • Enable distribution: make the platform the default way other teams expose new product capabilities to external developers and agents.

What You Need

  • 5+ years of backend engineering experience
  • Experience building APIs or developer-facing platforms
  • Experience and passion to build for agents
  • Strong instinct for developer experience -- you've felt the pain of bad docs, bad error messages, and bad onboarding
  • Strong ownership over delivering technical and business outcomes in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated hands-on, daily use of AI coding agents as the primary development driver.
  • Comfort with agentic workflows, orchestration layers, and AI tooling broadly

Benefits (for U.S.-based full-time employees)

  • 100% medical, dental & vision insurance coverage for you

  • Partially covered for your dependents

  • One Medical annual membership
  • 401k (including employer match on contributions made while employed by Ramp)
  • Flexible PTO
  • Fertility HRA (up to $10,000 per year)
  • Parental Leave
  • Unlimited AI token usage

  • Participate in technical discovery to understand customer systems and workflows, and recommend best-fit Ramp architecture. This includes when and how to use Ramp’s API
  • Be a subject matter expert across our HRIS and Accounting integration partners, partnering with Sales, Product and partners to advocate for integration development in-line with customer needs
  • Troubleshoot integration blockers and guide customers through complex configuration decisions without writing code directly
  • Contribute to internal documentation and tooling that scales Ramp’s ability to support integration use cases across a growing customer base
  • Influence Ramp’s product roadmap by channeling customer pain points and feedback to the Product and Engineering teams

What You Need

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, finance, business, or a related field
  • 4+ years in technical consulting, solutions engineering, implementation, or a similar customer-facing technical role, ideally in a SaaS or fintech environment
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle Fusion) and finance/accounting workflows
  • Comfort working with APIs, integration logic, and system architecture and being able to explain those concepts to finance and operations stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills: able to translate complex technical solutions into business value, guide customers toward scalable approaches, and diplomatically steer conversations when requests are misaligned with best practices or product capabilities
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering
  • Exceptional organization and problem-solving skills, with a bias toward action and a high level of ownership
  • Thrives in ambiguity and fast-paced environments; adaptable and resourceful as we scale Ramp’s upmarket motion

About Ramp

Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $100B in annualized spend flows in and out of 50,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.

The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.

If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.

About the Role

As a Design Engineer at Ramp, you sit at the intersection of design and front-end engineering. You bring ambitious ideas to life in real interfaces, prototype directly in code, validate with customers, and ship production experiences with a high bar for craft, performance, and reliability.

Design at Ramp is AI first and builder led. Work starts in an LLM to clarify intent and constraints, moves into tools like Claude and Cursor to explore and build, is tested with real customers, and then comes into Figma for systems and polish. AI and self-serve research are default parts of the workflow, not side experiments.

We are looking for multiple design engineers who think like a designer, code like a front-end engineer, and treat AI as a real collaborator.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and build high-craft product experiences: Own key surfaces end to end, from concept through production. Use layout, interaction, and motion to make complex behavior feel simple and safe.
  • Work AI first with Cursor and Claude Code: Use LLMs, Cursor, and Claude Code as your starting point. Draft intent, explore implementations, scaffold components, and refactor with AI in the loop. Apply your own judgment to refine quality.
  • Prototype in code and validate with customers: Build interactive prototypes in React and TypeScript and test them with real users using self-serve research tools. Use what you learn to refine flows before full systemization.
  • Bridge design systems, product, and brand: Translate Ramp’s design principles into reusable components and patterns. Extend the design system so expressive, brand-aligned moments are easy to build and scale.
  • Reveal what our agents are doing without noise: Design patterns that show what AI and automation are doing on behalf of customers. Use hierarchy, copy, and motion to earn trust while keeping the default experience simple.
  • Champion performance and accessibility: Ship work that is fast, accessible, and robust. Pay attention to semantics, focus states, reduced motion, and Core Web Vitals. Partner with engineers to debug and optimize over time.
  • Share AI-native workflows: Document prompts, patterns, and workflows you use in Cursor and Claude Code. Share them with designers and engineers to raise the bar across the team.

What You Need

  • Strong experience across both design and front-end engineering, with ownership from idea to shipped interface
  • Fluency in React, TypeScript or JavaScript, semantic HTML, and modern CSS
  • Active use of tools like Cursor and Claude Code, with clear opinions on how to get high-quality output
  • A portfolio that shows high visual and interaction craft in live experiences or working prototypes
  • A systems mindset and interest in building reusable components and patterns
  • Care for performance, accessibility, and reliability as part of craft
  • Clear written and verbal communication, and comfort pairing with designers, engineers, and marketers

Nice to Haves

  • Experience contributing to a design system or front-end component library
  • Familiarity with experimentation or analytics tools
  • Experience with headless CMS, design tokens, or theming systems
  • Background in fintech, B2B SaaS, or other trust-heavy domains
  • Interest in mentoring others on AI-native workflows

Benefits (for U.S.-based full-time employees)

  • 100% medical, dental & vision insurance coverage for you

  • Partially covered for your dependents

  • One Medical annual membership
  • 401k (including employer match on contributions made while employed by Ramp)
  • Flexible PTO
  • Fertility HRA (up to $10,000 per year)
