Overview

As a Production Engineer within the Chief Security Office (CSO), you will provide application support for critical cyber and physical security platforms that protect the Bank’s global operations. You will play a key role in maintaining stability, availability, and security while driving automation across production support processes. What You’ll Do

• Provide Level 2 production support across CSO applications, operating within ITIL processes and established Key Operating Procedures with a strong focus on security and stability
• Own incident management from identification through resolution, including impact assessment, stakeholder communication, escalation, and post‑incident review
• Maintain high availability of critical services by meeting defined Key Performance Indicator (KPIs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and MTTR targets
• Partner with engineering and program teams to onboard support for new applications and ensure production readiness
• Deploy and enhance monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively detect and resolve application issues
• Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and continuously improve the production support environment

Skills You’ll Need

• Proven experience supporting applications in a controlled production environment within a large enterprise or financial services organization
• Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux and Windows environments with Ansible automation having the ability to create scipt for daily operations (e.g., Python, Shell, Ansible)
• Demonstrated experience managing incidents, problems, and changes within ITIL‑based service operations
• Working knowledge of databases and data querying (e.g., Oracle, MS SQL)
• Experience supporting security or endpoint platforms, including EDR or similar security tooling

Team/Division Overview:

The Chief Operating Office (COO) is a key enabler for DWS and is integral to the future success of the company by delivering world-class services across a set of key functions. As an IT Business Analyst, you will be responsible for:

• Working with front office/middle office teams to define upcoming business challenges and determining required technology solutions.

• Working with onshore, offshore and third-party IT developers to translate business requirements into functional specifications.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Do

• Effective communication with stakeholders within and outside their own area of expertise, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational objectives. Putting the client first, act as primary point of contact and liaison for preservation requests between the legal team, eDiscovery group, technical staff, business staff and vendors to ensure proper communication between all parties.

• Experience in controlled production environments with strong knowledge of ITIL practices, global service operations, and financial‑technology or client‑facing support functions
• Technical proficiency in UNIX/Linux, Solaris, Java J2EE, Python, PowerShell, Structured Query Language (SQL) scripting, databases (Oracle/MSSQL), debugging across infrastructure components, and cloud technologies (Global Control Programme (GCP) preferred)
• Hands‑on background in Site Reliability Engineering, including building SLI/SLOs, and working with monitoring and scheduling tools such as Geneos, Splunk, Grafana, New Relic, and Control‑M, as well as microservices, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and container platforms (OpenShift/Kubernetes)

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary, North Carolina is $100,000 to $153,000.  Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.  Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
