Careers - ASIC Validation Engineer
$198000 - $297000
Open Role Brief
Quick scan for responsibilities, requirements, and tone before you dive deeper.
Proto is accelerating the world's transition to an open economy with products that increase access and independence for everyone. We're building Bitkey, a simple and safe self-custody bitcoin wallet that will put customers in control, as well as hardware and software that will help decentralize bitcoin mining and enable new and innovative use cases for bitcoin mining. We're developing these products in the open - you can read more about them at bitkey.build and mining.build. Within Proto, our Bitcoin Products team delivers the product and go-to-market strategy, software, firmware, and custom silicon needed to make Bitkey and our ambitious mining initiatives a reality. Come build the future of money with us!
The Role
We are looking for an ASIC Validation Engineer to help bridge the gap between custom mining silicon design and real-world operation. In this highly hands-on, lab-focused role, you'll work closely with ASIC designers and system engineers to debug issues, build test infrastructure, and generate the data needed to enable rapid design iteration and system-level development.
You Will:
- Bring up new silicon on bench platforms, evaluation boards, and system hardware
- Debug issues across ASIC, board, firmware, and system interactions
- Develop bench tests, scripts, and tools to exercise silicon features and collect data
- Build and maintain test setups (lab automation, instrumentation, fixtures, scripts)
- Partner with ASIC designers to validate functionality and root-cause failures
- Work with system engineers to ensure silicon performs correctly in target system environments, including mining systems
- Generate and analyze data to support design decisions, characterization, and bring-up
- Create lightweight, reusable test workflows and documentation for the broader team
- Support early manufacturing efforts with practical validation and debug, as needed
You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 4+ years of experience in silicon validation, hardware test, or related roles
- Strong hands-on experience in a lab environment (bench bring-up, debugging, instrumentation)
- Solid understanding of digital systems and basic analog concepts
- Experience writing scripts or tools (Python preferred) for test and data analysis
- Comfortable debugging issues that span multiple layers (ASIC ↔ board ↔ system)
- Clear communication skills and ability to work closely with cross-functional teams
Preferred:
- Experience with ASIC or FPGA bring-up and validation
- Familiarity with common interfaces (SPI, I2C, JTAG, UART, etc.)
- Experience using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, etc.)
- Exposure to high-performance, power-dense systems (e.g., mining ASICs, accelerators, or similar)
- Experience building test automation or internal tooling
- Familiarity with data analysis and visualization
Nice to Have
- Experience working with early silicon / first bring-up environments
- Exposure to manufacturing test or ATE
- Experience working on systems with tight power, thermal, and performance constraints
Why This Role Matters
This role enables the team to move fast. By building the right test infrastructure and quickly turning hardware behavior into actionable data, you'll help both ASIC and system teams iterate faster and make better decisions across silicon and mining system development.

Careers - Supplier Manager, Global Import Compliance
$180000 - $270000
Open Role Brief
Quick scan for responsibilities, requirements, and tone before you dive deeper.
Since we opened our doors in 2009, the world of commerce has evolved immensely, and so has Square. After enabling anyone to take payments and never miss a sale, we saw sellers stymied by disparate, outmoded products and tools that wouldn’t work together.
So we expanded into software and started building integrated, omnichannel solutions – to help sellers sell online, manage inventory, offer buy now, pay later functionality, book appointments, engage loyal buyers, and hire and pay staff. Across it all, we’ve embedded financial services tools at the point of sale, so merchants can access a business loan and manage their cash flow in one place. Afterpay furthers our goal to provide omnichannel tools that unlock meaningful value and growth, enabling sellers to capture the next generation shopper, increase order sizes, and compete at a larger scale.
Today, we are a partner to sellers of all sizes – large, enterprise-scale businesses with complex operations, sellers just starting, as well as merchants who began selling with Square and have grown larger over time. As our sellers grow, so do our solutions. There is a massive opportunity in front of us. We’re building a significant, meaningful, and lasting business, and we are helping sellers worldwide do the same.
The Role
As a Supplier Manager on Block's Global Freight & Trade Compliance team, you'll be responsible for managing our global import compliance program across all of Block's Hardware portfolio. You'll own our customs clearance operations and import compliance strategy across all brands. You'll develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives while managing complex supplier business relationships, including pricing and contract negotiations, service quality, risk mitigation, and compliance assurance. Working within a lean, flexible logistics team, you'll build scalable compliance solutions that support both new product development and sustaining operations in the markets where Block operates, including the US, Canada, EU, UK, Japan, and Australia.
This role goes beyond traditional import compliance - you'll work with cross-functional and external partners to drive outcomes in an outsourced compliance model through flexible solutions and strategic sourcing. As a high agency individual contributor, you’ll drive results through influence and partnership and lead complex negotiations, design scalable customs processes, and develop strategies that balance cost, speed, and operational excellence. As our subject matter expert for global import compliance, you'll bring deep industry knowledge and an established network of supplier relationships. You'll quickly assess our current program against industry benchmarks, optimize existing partnerships, and strategically develop new capabilities where needed. Where industry standards don't exist or don't fit Block's unique needs, you'll have the confidence and expertise to define what "good" looks like and establish performance standards that drive results. You'll have the autonomy to implement your vision while protecting Block's brand and partnerships in every market we operate.
You Will
- Design and optimize customs clearance networks for speed, cost, and compliance accuracy
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives including vendor selection, relationship management, and market intelligence
- Establish self-service capabilities and automation to reduce manual intervention and enable cross-functional teams
- Drive continuous improvement in clearance times, entry accuracy, and exception reduction through supplier performance management
- Develop and own business continuity plans to mitigate supply chain disruptions
- Manage HTS classification programs for Block's product catalog, including finished goods, components, and engineering assets
- Ensure accurate duty assessment and proper application of trade preference programs and duty drawback opportunities
- Oversee customs valuation, record retention, and supplier documentation requirements
- Lead operational implementation of Global Trade Management (GTM) systems
- Create and maintain supplier performance metrics and lead quarterly business reviews
- Design scalable processes and documentation that elevate team knowledge
- Manage critical, ad hoc, and expedited shipments to ensure supply chain continuity
You Have
- 8+ years of experience in global logistics procurement and carrier management
- Deep expertise in HTS classification, customs valuation, entry filing, and import regulations, Licensed Customs Broker or Certified Customs Specialist is a plus
- Established network of industry contacts and supplier relationships across customs brokerage, freight forwarding, classification services, and trade technology providers
- Demonstrated ability to reduce exceptions and improve clearance accuracy through effective supplier management
- Strong track record managing outsourced compliance programs across multiple regions
- Demonstrated excellence in stakeholder management across cross functional teams, including communicating with technical and non-technical audiences
- Comfort with ambiguity and proven ability to establish standards where none currently exist
- Expertise in contract structuring and negotiation
- Experience implementing Global Trade Management (GTM) systems (Oracle, SAP, Descartes)
- Advanced analytical skills with ability to identify trends and drive process improvements

As our sellers grow, so do our solutions. There is a massive opportunity in front of us. We're building a significant, meaningful, and lasting business, and we are helping sellers worldwide do the same.
The Role
As an Enterprise Account Executive, you'll be the tip of the spear for Square's most strategic, high-value deals. You'll navigate multi-threaded sales cycles with executive stakeholders involving technical integrations and cross-functional alignment. This is a role for a seasoned enterprise seller who owns the full deal lifecycle — from cold outreach to signed contract — and thrives in the complexity that comes with it.
You'll join a high-performing enterprise sales team that is deeply supported and strategically prioritized. Square is making significant investments to bring Square upmarket at scale and enable enterprise sales success. This is a team that operates with rigor, moves with urgency, and takes pride in signing the largest deals for the company.
You Will
- Craft and Lead Deal Strategy: Develop sophisticated, insight-led sales narratives tailored to client business priorities. You will identify the right entry points, mapping stakeholder influence, and building compelling business cases that create clear ROI.
- Own the Full Sales Cycle: Manage your pipeline end-to-end with precision — from prospecting and discovery through negotiation and close — qualifying rigorously and driving momentum at every stage without losing sight of the details
- Lead Technical, Complex Sales Cycles: Partner closely with Solutions Engineering to scope platform requirements and API integrations. Translate deeply technical concepts into language that resonates with executive decision-makers and know when to bring in the right expert at the right moment
- Orchestrate Internal Alignment: Quarterback cross-functional stakeholders across Finance, Legal, Risk, Product, Solutions Engineering, and Account Management — proactively surfacing blockers, resolving ambiguity, and ensuring everyone is aligned and moving in the same direction
- Represent Square at the Highest Level: Represent Square in C-suite meetings, on stage at industry conferences, or in working sessions with a prospect's technical team — with executive presence that is polished, credible, and authentic
- Build Block's Enterprise Network: Represent Square at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions; develop lasting relationships with senior leaders at leading brands and platform partners
- Be a Multiplier for the Business: Channel the voice of the customer internally to influence product roadmaps and go-to-market strategy; apply AI tools to sharpen your research, automate workflows, and increase your overall output
You Have
- 8+ years of enterprise sales experience, with a track record of closing complex, high-value deals with end-to-end ownership
- Deep experience in technical sales cycles — you're fluent in conversations involving API integrations, custom development, and platform configuration, and you collaborate naturally with Solutions Engineering teams
- A proven ability to orchestrate multi-stakeholder deals — internally and externally — with exceptional communication, follow-through, and organizational discipline
- Executive presence that's equally at home on a conference stage, in a C-suite boardroom, or on a discovery call with a technical champion
- Experience selling a complex ecosystem of SaaS or fintech products, ideally in payments, commerce, or adjacent verticals
- The ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment — you don't wait to be told what to do next
- A talent for translating complexity into clarity — whether that's simplifying a technical integration for a CFO or structuring an ambiguous problem for an internal stakeholder
- A BA/BS degree or equivalent professional experience
- Willingness to travel ~40%
Why This Role
Square is growing our upmarket sales motion. We've built the infrastructure, the product depth, and the brand credibility to compete at the highest level — and we're accelerating. This role is for someone who wants to be at the center of that momentum: closing deals that matter, building relationships that last, and helping shape what enterprise sales looks like at one of the most consequential companies in commerce

Careers - Regulatory Program Manager, Automation & Intelligence
$163600 - $245400
Open Role Brief
Quick scan for responsibilities, requirements, and tone before you dive deeper.
It all started with an idea at Block in 2013. Initially built to take the pain out of peer-to-peer payments, Cash App has gone from a simple product with a single purpose to a dynamic ecosystem, developing unique financial products, including Afterpay/Clearpay, to provide a better way to send, spend, invest, borrow and save to our 50+ million monthly active customers. We want to redefine the world’s relationship with money to make it more relatable, instantly available, and universally accessible.
Today, Cash App has thousands of employees working globally across office and remote locations, with a culture geared toward innovation, collaboration and impact. We’ve been a distributed team since day one, and many of our roles can be done remotely from the countries where Cash App operates. No matter the location, we tailor our experience to ensure our employees are creative, productive, and happy.
The Role
As Block has scaled, so has the complexity of our regulatory environment. The Settlements and Supervision Operating Model (SSOM) - is Block's centralised governance and execution engine for managing our most critical regulatory commitments. SSOM exists to bring rigour, consistency, and accountability to how Block engages with regulators, auditors, consultants, and partners across a range of high-priority regulatory matters..
SSOM is led by a lean, fully dedicated cross-functional core team drawn from Compliance, Legal, BizOps, Data Science, and Finance. We move fast, operate with precision, and are deeply committed to getting this right for Block, our customers, and our regulators.

The Opportunity
This is not a typical program management role. As a SSOM Program Manager, you'll be the driving force behind how Block uses intelligent tooling, automation, and AI to execute one of its most complex and consequential programs. You'll identify where AI and automation can eliminate manual effort, reduce risk, improve tracking accuracy, and accelerate remediation - and then you'll build it, champion it, and embed it into how the SSOM and its partners operate every day.
You'll partner with Compliance, Legal, Data Science, BizOps, Customer Support and Engineering to bring AI-powered workflows to a high-stakes, high-scrutiny environment. You'll be the person who makes the complex feel manageable, and the possible feel inevitable.
We're looking for someone who deeply understands both the gravity of regulatory execution and the transformative potential of AI — and who can bridge those two worlds with credibility, rigour, and genuine enthusiasm.
You will:
- Champion AI & Automation Adoption: Act as the primary evangelist for AI and automation tools within the SSOM Core Team and across the broader Matrix Team - running demos, enablement sessions, and hands-on workshops that build genuine capability and enthusiasm in a regulatory program context.
- Identify & Build Automation Opportunities: Proactively map SSOM workflows end-to-end to identify high-impact automation opportunities - from requirements tracking and remediation pipeline management to regulatory reporting, escalation workflows, and document generation.
- Own the AI & Automation Roadmap: Partner with SSOM leadership and BizOps to define, prioritise, and deliver a rolling roadmap of AI-powered initiatives that measurably improve the speed, accuracy, and consistency of SSOM execution.
- Drive Tool Optimisation: Oversee the adoption and continuous improvement of program management tooling - ensuring automation, AI-assisted insights, and workflow enhancements are embedded into how the SSOM executes against regulatory commitments.
- Translate AI for a Regulatory Audience: Bridge the gap between technical capability and regulatory program reality - communicating the value of AI tools in plain language, with clear use cases, risk considerations, and practical guidance tailored to Compliance, Legal, and BizOps stakeholders.
- Build Scalable Frameworks: Develop reusable playbooks, automation blueprints, and AI-assisted templates that allow the SSOM to scale governance and remediation execution consistently across settlements, supervision workstreams, and future scope expansions.
- Measure What Matters: Define and track KPIs for AI and automation initiatives - including time saved, error reduction, tracking accuracy, and remediation velocity - and report insights to the Steering Committee with clear recommendations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Data Science, Engineering, Compliance Analytics, and external consultants to ensure the SSOM has access to the best tooling, pilots, and AI innovations - and that sensitive regulatory data is handled with appropriate controls.
- Stay Ahead of the Curve: Continuously evaluate emerging AI platforms, agentic tools, and automation technologies - bringing informed, opinionated recommendations on what to adopt, pilot, or watch, with a clear eye on risk and compliance implications.
- Roll Up Your Sleeves When It Counts: Step in as a hands-on generalist when the situation demands it - whether that's troubleshooting a complex workflow breakdown, facilitating a working session to unblock a stalled workstream, or leading a targeted intervention to get a remediation track back on course. You know when to let the tools do the work, and when to get in the room and do it yourself.
You will:
Qualifications: Like us, you'll be deeply committed to delivering positive outcomes for Block, our regulators, and our customers - and passionate about using AI to make that execution faster, smarter, and more reliable.
- You have 8+ years of experience in program management, BizOps, regulatory operations, or a related field - with a clear track record of driving process improvement and technology adoption in complex, cross-functional environments.
- You are genuinely excited about AI and automation - you've used tools like AI assistants, workflow automation platforms, and LLM-powered tools, and you have real opinions about what works and what doesn't.
- You have experience leading change management and enablement initiatives - you know how to bring sceptical stakeholders on a journey and make new technology feel accessible, not threatening, in risk-sensitive environments.
- You're analytically strong - comfortable with program tracking data, remediation metrics, and building business cases for tooling investment.
- Your EQ and ability to influence without authority will be just as important as your technical chops - the SSOM spans Compliance, Legal, Engineering, and BizOps, and you'll need to earn trust across all of them.
- Experience in regulated industries - fintech, financial services, or similar - is a strong advantage. Familiarity with AML/BSA, CFPB supervision, or consent order management is highly desirable.
- You understand the stakes: this program has direct visibility to Block's Steering Committee and Board of Directors. You bring the judgement, discretion, and professionalism the environment demands.

Careers - Compensation Automation & Tooling Partner
$135200 - $202800
Open Role Brief
Quick scan for responsibilities, requirements, and tone before you dive deeper.
Block is one company built from many blocks, all united by the same purpose of economic empowerment. The blocks that form our foundational teams — People, Finance, Counsel, Hardware, Information Security, Platform Infrastructure Engineering, and more — provide support and guidance at the corporate level. They work across business groups and around the globe, spanning time zones and disciplines to develop inclusive People policies, forecast finances, give legal counsel, safeguard systems, nurture new initiatives, and more. Every challenge creates possibilities, and we need different perspectives to see them all. Bring yours to Block.
The Role
Block's Total Rewards team is responsible for designing and delivering the global compensation programs that help us attract, retain, and recognize the people who build our products. As our Compensation Automation & Tooling Specialist, you'll serve as the technical lead for the team — owning the systems, automated workflows, and self-service tools that power our compensation operations for approximately 6,000 employees worldwide. This is a high-impact, highly visible role where you'll drive our shift from manual administration to a scalable, technology-enabled model, and directly shape how the team works for years to come.
You Will
- Design and deploy end-to-end automation for high-volume compensation processes, including benchmarking data ingestion, market pricing analytics, offer approvals, off-cycle adjustments, and personalized compensation statement generation.
- Serve as primary technical administrator for specialized compensation management software and define integration requirements with the enterprise HRIS team.
- Partner with the Compensation Partners and Compensation Programs Design lead to configure and stress-test core systems ahead of the Annual Compensation Cycle.
- Build and maintain self-service tools for HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders — examples include internal mobility calculators, global transfer modeling tools, and automated statement generators.
- Design and maintain Total Rewards dashboards providing real-time visibility into compensation metrics, budget utilization, and market trends.
- Lead development and ongoing training of internal AI agents to handle and route foundational compensation inquiries and escalate to the appropriate reviewers on the team.
- Manage the Total Rewards knowledge base, ensuring global policies and technical guidelines are accurate and optimized for AI ingestion and end-user use.
- Establish and enforce data privacy and governance protocols for all AI applications used by the Total Rewards team, ensuring sensitive data (PII, salary, equity) is handled in strict alignment with InfoSec, Legal, and AI usage policies.
- Champion modern technical collaboration practices — including version control via GitHub — and upskill non-technical team members in adopting these tools.
You Have
- 6+ years of experience in HRIS, Compensation Operations, People Analytics, or HR Technology.
- Expertise with Workday integrations and other HCM platforms.
- Experience with workflow automation platforms and the ability to build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines.
- Proficiency with technical collaboration and version control tools (e.g., GitHub), and a track record of guiding non-technical teams through adoption.
- Strong data modeling and visualization skills; experience building executive-facing dashboards.
- Solid foundation in global compensation principles — market pricing, equity mechanics, annual review cycles — and the ability to translate compensation strategy into technical requirements.
- Experience partnering with InfoSec, Legal, or Compliance teams to vet and govern AI tools and automated workflows handling sensitive data.
Technologies We Use and Teach
- Workday, GitHub, Claude Code, Python, SQL
- Workflow automation platforms, Data visualization tools, AI/LLM APIs, HRIS integration frameworks
